Cookie Policy

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device; "local storage" is a similar browser mechanism. ikitoki uses very few, and today none of them are for advertising. Below is exactly what is set and why.
iki_lang — language preference
Purpose: remembers whether you chose English or Bulgarian so you land on the right version. It is a first-party cookie (on .ikitoki.com) and is also mirrored to your browser's local storage as "iki:lang". Lifetime: up to 1 year; the local-storage copy remains until you clear it. This is a strictly necessary preference cookie.
iki_consent — your advertising-consent choice
Purpose: records whether you accepted or rejected personalized advertising via the consent banner, so we don't ask again on every page. It is a first-party cookie (on .ikitoki.com) and is mirrored to local storage as "iki:consent". Lifetime: up to 1 year, or until you change it via "Cookie settings". This is a strictly necessary cookie for honoring your choice.
Future Google / AdSense advertising cookies
Advertising is not live yet. When it launches, Google AdSense may set cookies to measure and (only with your consent, where required) personalize ads — for example to limit how often you see an ad, measure performance, and combat fraud. These are set only when ads go live and, for personalized advertising in the EEA/UK/Switzerland, only with your consent. Their lifetimes are set by Google and typically range from days to a couple of years. We will list the specific cookies here once advertising is enabled.
Managing cookies
You can change your advertising choice any time with the "Cookie settings" control in the banner. You can also clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings to reset every ikitoki preference. Blocking the strictly necessary preference cookies may mean the site forgets your language and re-asks for consent.
